History

In 1983, a production facility for the Elektro-Apparate-Werke (EAW) Berlin was established in Schwedt/Oder for the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs). With the political changes of 1990, the company was transformed into a corporation, becoming EAW Berlin GmbH.

In 1994, the Schwedt location of EAW Berlin GmbH became the first EMS manufacturer in Eastern Germany to successfully implement the ISO 9001:1994 quality management system. Two years later, in 1996, the company was taken over by Norbert Rendelmann and Andreas Petzel and renamed P&R Gerätetechnik GmbH.

In 2002, the property and production facilities were acquired, marking the beginning of significant investments in new equipment and technologies. Thanks to continuous company growth, a fully air-conditioned office and production building was completed in 2016. The positive development of P&R Gerätetechnik GmbH is reflected in its steady revenue growth and resilience during major global economic crises in 2003, 2009, and 2020.

As a contract manufacturer, we continuously invest in new technologies, production capacity, and employee development. Our customers benefit from cutting-edge production methods and technologies without having to make capital-intensive investments themselves. Our employees ensure high-mix, low-volume to high-mix, mid-volume production, enabling us to rapidly adapt to component or product changes when necessary.

Our strict quality control processes ensure that our manufactured products meet diverse and stringent customer requirements. This commitment guarantees compliance with high-quality standards and ensures the reliability of the final products.

While some EMS providers operate in low-wage countries to reduce production costs, we firmly believe that, as a German manufacturer, we offer our customers competitive pricing through short communication channels, an established supplier network, and an efficient procurement organization.

Ultimately, we enable our customers to streamline or eliminate production processes, reduce costs, and focus on their core business, all while benefiting from high-quality and reliable manufacturing expertise.
