Elektro-Apparate-Werke Berlin establishes a production facility for printed circuit board assembly in Schwedt (Oder). This marks the beginning of our manufacturing site.
A new corporate structure
The company is converted into a limited liability company, EAW Berlin GmbH. A new chapter begins for the Schwedt site.
Quality management to ISO 9001
The Schwedt site becomes the first EMS manufacturer in eastern Germany to introduce the ISO 9001:1994 quality management system, embedding quality systematically in its processes.
P&R Gerätetechnik takes shape
Norbert Rendelmann and Andreas Petzel acquire the Schwedt business unit of EAW Berlin GmbH through a management buy-out. The business continues as P&R Gerätetechnik GmbH.
A site of our own
P&R acquires the property and its production buildings. Further investment in new equipment and technology follows in the years ahead.
IPC standards in production
The adoption of IPC standards complements quality assurance and supports the reliable manufacture of electronic assemblies.
More space for manufacturing
A new, fully air-conditioned office and production building is constructed, expanding P&R’s capacity at the Schwedt site.
Environmental management to ISO 14001
P&R introduces the ISO 14001 environmental management system and links it with its existing quality management, bringing quality and environmental responsibility together.
