The controller determines the purposes and means of processing personal data on this website.
2. Hosting and server logs
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When a page is requested, the web server processes connection data required for delivery, in particular IP address, date and time, requested file, data volume, referrer, browser and operating system. This is necessary to provide the website, maintain stability and security and detect abuse.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is secure and reliable operation. Log data is deleted when it is no longer needed for operation or security analysis; it is retained longer only for a specific security incident or a legal obligation. IONOS acts as a processor for the hosting service.
3. Local resources and external links
Fonts, images, icons and scripts are delivered from our own webspace. Merely visiting a page does not load Google Fonts, embedded maps or social media SDKs.
Links to OpenStreetMap and our sharing links to LinkedIn, Facebook and X connect to the respective provider only when you actively follow the link. No social media plugins are embedded. When sharing, the address and title of the current page are passed to the selected provider. The provider’s privacy policy then applies.
4. Consent management
On your first visit, we ask whether you allow statistics and marketing services. No optional provider is loaded and no data is sent to Google before your decision. Rejecting and accepting are equally accessible. Your choice, its timestamp and the text version are stored in your browser’s local storage for no more than six months. This is necessary to respect your choice (section 25(2)(2) TDDDG; Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. On withdrawal, known Analytics and Ads cookies on this domain are removed. Processing before withdrawal remains lawful.
5. Contact enquiries
When you use the contact form, we process your name, email address, optional company and phone number, selected topic, message, form language, time and a technical reference. The data is sent only to pr@geraetetechnik.de. The web server does not create a permanent copy of the message.
Processing is necessary for pre-contractual or contractual enquiries under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and, for other enquiries, for our legitimate interest in appropriate communication under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once the matter is complete unless statutory retention duties or legitimate evidentiary interests require longer retention.
6. Applications
The application form processes your name, email address, optional phone number, desired position, message and a CV in PDF format. The file is checked on the server for type, size and typical active content, passed directly as an email attachment to pr@geraetetechnik.de and is not stored permanently in the webspace.
Processing is necessary to decide on entering into an employment relationship under section 26(1) BDSG and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Access is limited to people involved in recruitment. Application data is normally deleted no later than six months after the process ends unless consent, a legal obligation or a necessary evidentiary interest requires longer retention.
7. Local protection against form abuse
We protect the forms with an invisible honeypot, a minimum completion time and request limits. The IP address is hashed with a secret held only on the server. Only short-lived timestamps are stored under that hash, never form data. Entries older than 24 hours are discarded automatically. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our interest is protecting the website and recipient mailbox.
8. Google Analytics 4 – with consent
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) to understand website reach and use. The service loads only after you consent to “Statistics”. Without consent, no Google tags or cookieless measurement signals are sent. This is the Basic Consent Mode. Our measurement ID is G-CZBTF7R3WE.
After consent, page views, interactions, referrer, approximate region, browser and device information and pseudonymous identifiers may be processed. Google Analytics typically uses cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container ID>. We use a two-month retention period for user- and event-level data. Google Signals, User-ID, granular location/device collection and unnecessary data sharing remain disabled. Form content, names, email addresses, phone numbers and CVs are not sent to Analytics.
The legal bases are your consent under section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw it in the cookie settings. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Depending on the recipient, Google relies on an adequacy decision including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Google Ads and conversion measurement – with consent
We use Google Ads by Google Ireland Limited to deliver and evaluate advertising campaigns. For conversion measurement on this website, Google Ads tags may be loaded only after you consent to “Marketing”. Without your consent, no advertising cookies are set and no measurement signals are sent to Google. We do not currently use remarketing, personalised advertising or Enhanced Conversions.
After your consent, advertising click identifiers, the page visited, technical browser and device data, time and defined conversion events may be processed, and cookies such as _gcl_au or _gcl_* may be set. A conversion is a contact enquiry accepted by the mail server for sending. Applications, downloads and mere clicks do not count. An independent random event identifier prevents duplicate counts. Form text, contact details and the reference from the confirmation message are not sent to Google. The legal bases are section 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The safeguards described for Google Analytics apply to possible international transfers.
10. Search Console
Google Search Console is used to manage the website’s search visibility. The domain is verified by DNS. During a normal website visit, Search Console loads no scripts, sets no cookies and receives no additional visitor data.
11. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. You may withdraw consent at any time for the future. Contact pr@geraetetechnik.de.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority in Brandenburg is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Access to Information.

12. Updates to this policy
We update this policy when services, technical processes or legal requirements change. The consent version was renewed when Google Ads conversion measurement was activated. We will ask again after future material changes so that earlier choices are not silently applied to changed processing.
